Introductory sentence

This page has a strong introductory sentence that I believe is effect at communicating the purpose of the page. Keep up the great work! ~~~~ KauiLeFuJie (talk) 19:34, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Concatenation theory

It seems concatenation theory (also called 'theoretical syntax') would fit nicely under #Theoretical syntactic models, but I don't think I can work it into the article with confidence at this point. Tule-hog (talk) 00:34, 4 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Relation to semantics

From the lede:

'Central concerns of syntax include ... and the relationship between form and meaning (semantics).'

This makes it seem like semantics is a part of syntax. Meanwhile on the semantics article, it reads:

'Semantics contrasts with syntax"

Syntax and semantics seem to be seperate, so the wording of the lede is confusing to me. Wikifan153 (talk) 10:50, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
