pronunciation
Is this really pronounced in French as if it were spelled sounne-gau? kwami (talk) 08:18, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Pretty much, but there are some (great) variations depending on the local dialect. I did a quick search and I found several links related to its pronunciation:
- elsasser.free.fr - Toponymes d'Alsace (French), elsasser.free.fr - Elsàsser Ortsnàmme (Alsatian)
- fr.lettres.langue.francaise - "En vert et contre tout"
- On the French Wikipedia, the pronunciation was changed from Soungo to Soundgo (see [1])
- Also, I found some media in which the name "Sundgau" is pronounced:
- Thanks. The two most accessible sound links don't have a [d], so I'm linking but leaving the IPA as is. — kwami (talk) 00:36, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Re-writing
Parts of this page need re-writing as the English is not idiomatic - they read as if a non-native speaker wrote them. I made a change but a moderator decided not to accept the change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.133.201.106 (talk) 11:36, 14 October 2020 (UTC)
