Jules and the Polar Bears
The three Jules and the Polar Bears albums were produced by the band, and Stephen Hague was a member of the band, so these might have been his first productions (albeit, co-productions). I believe the first album, Got No Breeding, was released in 1978.
Hague also played keyboards on Shear's first solo album, Watch Dog.

Birth date
Is it really 1960? https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/officers/1U47ad2MZrYxrCZOSLgKCJMifIg/appointments says February 1953 and that would seem to fit better with his professional career.
Also this interview says he played on Magnet & Steel aged 22. The song was released in 1978 so that would put his birth year as 1956. 83.151.202.178 (talk) 17:19, 12 March 2025 (UTC)
