Growth

With the current and seemingly increasing amount of funds devoted to space by both NASA, DoD and private enterprise (Virgin Galactic, for example), it would seem that Spacedev is in a good position to capitalize on its engineering expertise and SpaceShipOne engine developmental experience. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.47.109.172 (talk • contribs) .

COTS

Need an update for SpaceDev losing the NASA COTS proposal. Some, myself included thought they had a good chance to be one of the two winners (SpaceX and Rocketplane-Kistler). Still, they have a pretty robust set of contracts, albeit mostly low dollar value. —Taka2007 05:19, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

I've updated the article to reflect that it was not a Phase 1 winner, but it would be nice if someone could find an external reference that explicitly states that its proposal was rejected and some of the reasons for it. -- Bovineone 19:38, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
