Oresund
I've never heard this usage, and it sounds pretty limited (especially since it refers to an area outside the English-speaking world). I'm not saying it's not true, but I think it's too broad a statement to be the first paragraph of the article. For example, in the Northeast United States, "The Sound" refers to the Long Island Sound. I suggest this paragraph be dropped or moved to the bottomn. Larger than a bay?
This doesn't seem to make a ton of sense. Take Hudson's bay, Bay of Bengal, etc. These bays seem to indicate that there are no limits to the size of a 'bay', so to say that a sound is strictly larger than a bay appears false. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.67.121.86 (talk) 05:00, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
