There was also a BBC radio adaptation I believe... Rich Farmbrough 22:28, 27 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Legal status

Based on the date, I'd be inclined to believe it's in public domain. I've seen copies of it posted online, put a link to one here, but Project Gutenberg doesn't have it and usually they're right on top of things. -Fuzzy 23:54, 19 Mar 2005 (UTC)

It is indeed in Project Gutenberg, in a collection of three plays by Pirandello: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/42148/42148-h/42148-h.htm 98.14.15.215 (talk) 21:06, 29 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Further Analysis

Are there any common opinions on whether this is part of the theatre of the absurd, or more part of the existentialist class? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.212.212.54 (talk) 05:33, 4 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why can't it be both? I believe it has been classified as belonging to either genre, by separate authors; and also by some as belonging to both. Nuttyskin (talk) 15:00, 10 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Red Dwarf Season 9 (Back to Earth )

A parody of this play... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.105.154.57 (talk) 14:05, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Presentation complaint

As one who plans to attend a forthcoming performance of this famous play -- I was shocked to so readily learn so many elements of the plays conclusion. Couldn't through editing such items be made obvious to those wishing to avoid learning in advance ?Chaiim (talk) 15:31, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your complaint is very self-centered and consumption-oriented. It is not the purpose of a free encyclopedia to limit itself or to be a mere appetizer for buying a ticket/book/film etc. This encyclopedia is for the Information of every human being on the planet, not just a promotion tool for consumers living in abundance. Wikipedia is also for people who cannot afford to go to a theatre or have no access to literature at all. Besides that: Wikipedia will NOT CENSOR ANY INFORMATION!

LibriVox recording of the play

Pirandello's foreward

"Pirandello provided for the play's third edition, published in 1925, a foreword clarifying its structure and ideas." Shouldn't there be a brief summary of this foreward in the article? 98.14.15.215 (talk) 20:59, 29 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

he agrees to load it their story: What does this even mean? I recognise all the words as English words; but the phrase, as far as my awareness goes, is not in English. Nuttyskin (talk) 15:04, 10 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
