I found this page through the infamous random page button and was moved by the story, but I felt it needed to be told more clearly. Unfortunately I'm not well-versed on this subject, and I've had to do the best I can taking the article as it was and supplementing it with the few additional details I could find. In the process, I also wound up taking out some details which I'd like to see ultimately make it back in.
