Whoever redirected Sheyenne River in North Dakota to Cheyenne River in Wyoming needs to check their facts. There are two different rivers, two different spelling and two different states.

Further, they are not even in the same watershed. The Cheyenne River in Wyoming empties into the Platte River in the Mississippi watershed, eventually flowing south into the Gulf of Mexico. The Sheyenne River in North Dakota empties into the Red River watershed which eventually flows north into Hudson's Bay.

Sources

I added a source to this page. I originally edited the article in the 2009 flood section based on reports from our hometown radio station. While those edits have been altered a bit, they are still a correct representation of the flood. I believe adding a source to the information, along with the sources quoted in the article, should satisfy the need for sources by Wikipedia standards. Please review. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.221.39.143 (talk) 03:46, 7 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Dams

A listing of dams on the Sheyenne would be a useful addition. The article does mention the Baldhill Dan, but it appears from my reviewing aerial maps that there is a dam at Harvey, ND, and one further upstream (southwest of Harvey) creating "Coal Mine Lake".
