I suspect the phrase should be correctly "donated/left for the benefit of the children of Oswestry" but I would leave correcting to those with access to sources such as newspaper reports who can supply a source a cite. It certainly makes sense as legally children (under majority age, originally 21) could not own the land except through trustees.Cloptonson (talk) 10:07, 29 May 2025 (UTC)
