Route 13?

In the 1800 - 1810 period, the main road from Kaskaskia to Shawneetown went straight east to Royalton, Frank's Fort, toward Shawneetown. This was probably a superior route compared to modern Route 13, in that it went farther upstream to cross the Big Muddy. Are you sure Route 13 was built by Shadrack?M dorothy 05:28, 7 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Category:American slave owners

No mention of slave-owning. I feel that this category should be restricted to people whose slave-owning history was notable in itself. Valetude (talk) 04:47, 22 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

this line?

"First governor of Illinois was Shadrach Bond, son of a farmer on whose farm a blockhouse was built during the War of 1812." Maybe I'm a dum-dum that doesn't understand English, but I've seen this on several newspapers, and I don't get it. 73.211.72.119 (talk) 11:05, 24 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
