Is it really relevant to explain that the word Seiklus (Estonian for adventure) bears some similarity to the Finnish word for adventure? cly5m speaks Estonian, I believe, so it is very likely the intended reason for using the word. The Finnish similarity is merely of linguistic and not at all relevant to the game. If we were to note language similarities in all articles, Wikipedia would become very cumbersome. wht.rbt 05:22, 27 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Impossible to die or get stuck? There are some collision detection bugs that result in not being able to continue. Sergio, October 2006

You can totally die in this game. There are those terrifying things in the cave area that pop out of the ground and eat you up. -6-2-07

That's not really death though, it just sets you back a ways. 72.220.174.159 07:14, 29 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

This game is notable enough to have its own Wikipedia article? Really? --72.68.201.60 (talk) 04:30, 21 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Considering that it directly inspired some of the biggest names in indie games, and is the prototype for the modern indie "exploration platformer", I should think so. No need to be incredulous; you're just way out of the loop. --69.112.100.217 (talk) 20:29, 1 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'm aware that responding to an anonymous comment from 15 years ago isn't likely to remedy the situation, but this bothered me. Shouldn't it be the article's job to make sure that the reader isn't "out of the loop" regarding the reason for its existence? If the game was so influential (which I don't doubt), the article should provide some evidence of what it influenced and its significance to the indie game scene. Deriding someone for arriving without this prior knowledge seems little better than the assumption of non-noteability that derision was in response to. I came to this article hoping for some context as to what made this game stand out above other superficially similar amateur projects, but was left none the wiser.
