Explain the Challenges and Success of Secularism
Secularism 117.230.92.43 (talk) 14:07, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
Please revisit these attempts at definition of secularism
These are concerted efforts to distance secularism from faith or the concept of a generic God. Which by definition is not possible.
Upon inclusion in various national constitutions and civics books, the general trend in this page is towards now redefining the word itself because the constitution cannot be changed on an international basis.
It has come to collapse into the concepts of rationalism and general rebound away from religion. Possibly due to religious persecution that has lasted millennia. Thus beginning this new era of rationalism overruling all basic definition of the concept.
Most nations practice uniform law where a deep religious undertone governs the definition of most laws and sentences. Some nations practice what is called personal law where the cultural norms associated with one's belief system or faith are not applicable to others.
Early secularism is a societal construct that predates organised religion, and can therefore describe a general disassociation of the perceived ownership of the word God by religion and further the lack of proper nouns to describe a generic version of God and/or plurality of faith ( Sanskrit 'naam', 'namauh', 'namah' ). 97d07dad-8ddb-4b7a-ab17-f4d4e7ca376f (talk) 23:54, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
