Attention tag

Now that Pahaquarra Boy Scout Camp has been merged, it really needs a good cleaning up. Chris 01:14, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Scout Camps

If you're going to include scout camps, Central Jersey also has Yards Creek. --ZeWrestler Talk 14:50, 1 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Northern New Jersey Council

Template:Ping about this edit at Northern New Jersey Council, www.angelfire.com/tx6/patch/cspbook.html is used a reference on more than 100 articles. It is the authoritative source on the history of the councils. Refer to the section above. --evrik (talk) 02:40, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

So, because more than 100 articles are using the same source, that means it's a WP:RS? What makes the author(s) authoritative? WP:RSSELF says Template:Tq. How does this qualify? -- RoySmith (talk) 03:03, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
You said you were a scout, right? Did you ever collect CSPs? Up to 2003 this was the authoritative resource on all the councils that had been founded and closed by the BSA. As a tool to the patch traders, they compiled from BSA sources all the councils. There are a couple of others works like this (look here: List_of_defunct_councils_(Boy_Scouts_of_America)#Notes). --evrik (talk) 03:50, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I was a scout. I learned many things which have served me well my entire life. Never got into patch trading, however. But, that's not really the issue. The issue is whether this is a RS. I get that the community of patch traders accept it as such, but enwiki has higher standards. I'm going to ask at WP:RSN to see what folks there think. -- RoySmith (talk) 14:03, 29 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
