Seems like more of a Wiktionary entry to me... Mike 04:09, 25 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

agreed. I'll try and work out how to deal with it (the description looked somewhat complicated!)--NHSavage 17:45, 23 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

Remove redirect.

I don't think that Schoolmarm should redirect to teacher.

Rather than remove the redirect, should I submit this for deletion? Thank you. --Malerooster (talk) 00:10, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Template:Ping Well, it looks like the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, Wiktionary, and the Oxford Dictionary all define schoolmarm as a 'woman who is a teacher,' so why don't we redirect to teacher? KJ click here 05:58, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
It also appears, citation upon request, that the term might have "negative" connotations. That was my thinking. --Malerooster (talk) 12:19, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Template:Ping The citation might be helpful at this point. KJ click here 22:39, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
[1], [2], I guess these connotations aren't the worst. This really isn't that big a deal. Since you reverted, I will certainly not edit war over this but would defer to others. Do you know if redirects go through the deletion process like "regular" articles or are they handled differently? Cheers, --Malerooster (talk) 23:25, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Template:Ping Oh, I see. Well, the AFD for deletions is the WP:RFD process. The instructions should be on the RFD page. KJ click here 00:21, 1 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
