Name change
Template:Ping Your sourcing seems weak for BLP. New York Times apparently provided no independent verification of the statement made by a "longtime friend of Mr. Forster who handled his publicity." But I'm not a BLP expert so I'll leave that to you and others.
If accepted, the name change needs to be addressed below the lead, and we're currently showing that his father's name was Forster, an obvious error if Jr. was born Foster. But I don't care enough to resolve these things myself, I just dropped by when I saw the headline and wanted to check his picture to see if it's who I thought it was (it was). ―Mandruss ☎ 08:07, 12 October 2019 (UTC)
- Template:Ping I found a number of places in searches for it, which all seemed to corroborate that story, and which predate the obituary, but they're not in the same "class" as NYT (for instance IMDb, TV Guide's Bio [1], Encyclopedia.com [2], etc. Given that it's (a) believable since it happens all the time, (b) widely mentioned outside of the context of the current events, (c) sourced by a reputable news outlet from someone who should be credible and have no reason to lie on this point (his established publicist), I think it should stand. It's possible someone may want to dig deeper to build a below-the-lede paragraph explaining the name-change, but it doesn't seem all *that* worthy of analysis, IMHO. I, too, only came here for much the same reasons as you and got sucked into the vortex of "is this data point real or not". LOL :-) DBalling (talk) 08:53, 12 October 2019 (UTC)
Full Name
You have his full name twice at the beginning of the article where you could just say "Robert Forster" at the beginning. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.237.64.88 (talk) 01:58, 13 October 2019 (UTC)
