I've added a few films that either originate from a non-U.S. country, and U.S. films that are culturally significant:

Non-U.S.:

• Knockin' on Heaven's Door (Germany, 1997)
• The Parade (Serbia, 2011)
• Come as You Are (Belgium, 2011)
• Mourning (Iran, 2011)
• Eyjafjallajökull (France, 2013)
• Loev (India, 2015)
• Ameerika Suvi (Estonia, 2016)

U.S.:

• The Last Detail (1973)
• The Sugarland Express (1974)
• My Own Private Idaho (1991)
• Are We There Yet? (2005)
• On the Road (2012)

The table in the article still contains some films that are not exactly road movies in its classical sense, such as "Thor: Ragnarok". Others don't seem to have the necessary significance. -Mardus /talk 03:37, 3 July 2017 (UTC)

List

The list article has been tagged for need sources for over five years. Is there any interest on cleaning this up or maintaining it? If there is not, I suggest removing it. Andrzejbanas (talk) 11:59, 10 October 2024 (UTC)

On the use of "hinterlands" in the description...

I think this is a pretty ambiguous word, and perhaps there are more fitting words (e.g. outback, backwoods, remote areas) that more clearly get the meaning across. When I think "hinterland" I think of a coast somewhere nearby lol Eggmmanuel (talk) 09:10, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
