Probable copyvio removed
I removed the "history" section added by User:Redaragorn because it is a probable copyvio from http://www.cabq.gov/aes/s2rr.html. Kelly Martin 17:01, Apr 25, 2005 (UTC)
Wrong County Outline Map
Note that the county outline map shown on the Rio Rancho page is that of Bernalillo County, not of Sandoval County. The city shaded is Albuquerque. Breffni Whelan (talk) 22:36, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
POV
Can someone check the Transportation section for POV. It sounds a little off to me, like they dont like ABQ or the way the city has done things. I dont not know if it warrents full POV tag for the artical, and I can not remember how to do that anyway. 216.243.108.3 (talk) 07:00, 4 February 2008 (UTC)
I'd agree. Besides that, it makes pretty much zero sense. The only thing I can make out is that the original author doesn't like Albuquerque. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.35.62.251 (talk) 04:41, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Improve references
This article has only 9 footnotes, which is low for an article of this length and importance. Some areas are not footnoted at all. There seems to be a lot of POV and grudge-bearing, for example in Transportation (mentioned in note above) and in Trivia. So I have marked the whole article with Template:Refimprove. Additional references, and removal of unverifiable statements, would be appreciated. Thanks. --Uncia (talk) 13:22, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
HP
A note on the page asks about a footnote about HP facility in RR.

I will leave it to others to find and format such a footnote that meets wiki standards... but it is not a footnote in my life, or the life of thousands of HP employees, who have been given a "move it or lose it" notice... The good news is that the HP facility is years delayed, making the threat of job loss somewhat less painful.
Of course if you one of the NM unemployed, the delay is not such a good deal.
Thanks to the New Mexico taxpayer for funding this opportunity :-( —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.114.8.210 (talk) 17:28, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
New Mexico municipal elections are non-partisan
New Mexico municipal elections are non-partisan, so the party affiliations, if any, of the Mayor and City Councilors is irrelevant. I have removed these from the infobox. Community-banned user Script error: No such module "user". often uses his sockpuppets to put these in. --75.211.233.24 (talk) 19:50, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

Wrong aerial photo
The photo captioned "Aerial view of suburban Rio Rancho" (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/07/Rio_Rancho_Sprawl.jpeg/250px-Rio_Rancho_Sprawl.jpeg) is actually a photo of suburban Albuquerque. While parts of Rio Rancho resemble the area shown, it is not a photo of Rio Rancho. I believe it's a photo of a neighborhood on Albuquerque's far West Side, either Ventana Rancho or Ventana Ranch West. I can only cite my personal knowledge, but I've lived in the area for 20+ years and have worked for the City of Rio Rancho for 14 years. Bear Left (talk) 19:14, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for your comment. I just checked and the area pictured is here. According to the GIS data this is within the Rio Rancho municipal limits. Camerafiend (talk) 19:39, 10 December 2018 (UTC)
