Tritone
Actually the tritone was never banned by the Spanish Inquisition. Look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tritone#Historical_uses The cited sources (both are books about Jimi Hendrix) seem to have adopted this urban myth without more researching. The term diabolus in musica was never treated in a papal bull. Please correct this to avoid reproducing this myth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:16B8:424D:3901:C6D9:87FF:FECA:C8C1 (talk) 00:20, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
- The WP Tritone article includes several "needs additional citations for verification" tags and under the "Historical uses" section "possibly contains original research". The paragraph that mentions the Church is unreferenced, so there don't seem to be any sources that support "likely fanciful". —Ojorojo (talk) 15:42, 26 July 2018 (UTC)
