Template:WikiProject banner shell User:MiszaBot/config User:HBC Archive Indexerbot/OptInI note that an additional change in childhood between the early industrialization and today is not mentioned: the availability of broad spectrum antibiotics and vaccinations has led to a reduction in the length of time children were/are ill with various infections. This is in my opinion complementary to improvements in nutrition, but could be understood as an individual having to turn nutritional resources towards recovery from the infection instead of growth. This would mean a childhood illness might have resulted in a "time out" for growth during a serious illness. Now that many such illnesses can be avoided or shortened, both the onset of puberty and the overall adult height have changed over time.

Extremes of the hontrucides and of the menacmes

My commentary of an archaist, of a neologist and of a Parnassianist: The two puberties (pubescences) are called "sintremal" (masculine) and "peringrala" (feminine).

The two bassades (planicies) are called "honcadime" (masculine) and "menarche" (feminine).

The two sierras are called "hontrucide" (masculine) and "menacme" (feminine).

The two climacters are called "opsendal" (masculine) and "antrebula" (feminine).

The two planalts (plateaus) are called "hongresame" (masculine) and "menopause" (feminine).

These biological phases occur complementarily in both sexes.

The Latin translations of these words are "sintremalus" ("sintremali"), "peringrala" ("peringralae"), "honcadimus" ("honcadimi"), "menarcha" ("menarchae"), "hontrucide" ("hontrucidis"), "menacme" ("menacmis"), "opsendalus" ("opsendali"), "antrebula" ("antrebulae"), "hongresamus" ("hongresami") and "menopausa" ("menopausae").

Should the images of naked children be taken down?

Template:Edit semi-protected I think so but it’s against the rules maybe I’m not sure. What do u guys think? The changes I would like are that the images of naked children (real photos not a diagram) be removed or replaced by another image. OrangeLolipopSnail (talk) 11:44, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Why? This request seems rather prudish. - Roxy the dog 11:48, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
bc other ppl want it on this talk page and the images could be a diagram or smth like that instead OrangeLolipopSnail (talk) 11:55, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
I see no justification to remove them. - Roxy the dog 12:04, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
Ok OrangeLolipopSnail (talk) 12:10, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

File:X mark.svg Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the Template:Tlx template. DMacks (talk) 12:28, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
I’m not getting much info currently it is 3/5 ppl want this change how many ppl/percent do u need I thought a majority was enough to make a request? Or is it some random amount that is chosen bc that’s what it seems like to me? Or am I missing something and I’m being stupid? Sorry if I’m being rude OrangeLolipopSnail (talk) 12:35, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
WP:CONSENSUS is the usual standard, and strength of position based on policies and guidelines, not a vote. I'm not taking a position on the content, just identifying the process to use to change it. DMacks (talk) 12:37, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
