The details (song titles etc.) in the "Discography" section should (ideally) be split into separate articles (or merged into existing articles) for each album (also see WP:ALBUM). Usually, a "Discography" section lists only the title, the year of release, and the record label, with links to the individual articles. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 19:32, 21 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

The discography needs translating into workable text. It must have taken a lot of work to set up the text in the way it has been! but it is no good for wikipedia. Once that is finished moving/merging etc will be easy, SqueakBox 04:14, 22 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

The Peel tapes cda be listened to here till next Sunday when I will remove the external link again, SqueakBox 01:42, 15 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Meaning of "Far I"

The article tells when and how he got the name "Prince Far I", but not what that name means. Does it have some specific significance, or is it just a random group of words without any particular meaning? Thanks. 38.49.72.163 (talk) 13:20, 22 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Rastafarians are so named because the Emporer of Ethiopia, Haile Selassie was named Ras Tafari (King Tafari) when he was crowned. So the "Far I" comes from "Tafari" 2600:4040:52F5:F400:9178:2226:713A:2273 (talk) 19:02, 9 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
Rastafarians existed in Jamaica long before Reggae did and once reggae started getting off the ground, many reggae musicians began to connect with the sentiments of the Rastas, who say Haile Selassie as the "coming of a Black King" prophesied by Marcus Garvey, who was in America in the 1920s preaching Black liberation and Black independence 2600:4040:52F5:F400:9178:2226:713A:2273 (talk) 19:03, 9 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
