If you'd like some suggestions on editing this article, the WikiProject U.S. Counties standards may help. Otherwise, be bold

-- Types of municipality --

'and, in at most two cases, towns.'

Are the only two towns allowed under Pennsylvania law? Otherwise, this should read 'and, in only cases, towns.'

  • There are two "towns" in Pennsylvania - the town of Bloomsburg (which is the only legally incorporated town) and the "Town of McCandless", which used to be called McCandless Township and still is a first-class township legally. There is no legal restrictions on the number of towns, although many boroughs and cities have incorporated since Bloomsburg, but no new towns. The wording in question is the same in 66 of 67 Pennsylvania county articles (or at least it used to be the same). Ruhrfisch ><>°° 13:07, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

New York metropolitan area

This article says that Pike County is part of the NY metro area however the NY Metro area says that it isn't? I wouldn't know since i am from neither area but perhaps a reference is needed. SoCal L.A. (talk) 02:42, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

It is superficially in the NYC TV market, although not acknowledged by NYC TV except on a weahter map, but never mentioned. It is a part of the NYC TV market only, but not the metro region. I think it is only there to boost numbers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.30.104.4 (talk) 06:47, 18 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
