I'm pretty sure the image of "a 'pelican' wounding its breast to feed its chicks" under the Christianity section is actually a Swan with white doves alongside it. The pelican wounding itself to feed its young is a common medieval Christian and esoteric symbol, the problem is, many artists had probably never seen a pelican before. So I agree it doesn't look like a pelican, but it's intended to be one. Pyrrho the Skipper (talk) 14:23, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
