"Second largest royal Chateau"? Versailles is much larger, I changed it to second largest.
"Cultural references"
I have removed this miscellaneous list of information which, imo, might be more appropriately located elsewhere, with links to this page, rather than the other way round.
- Jazz pianist and composer Tadd Dameron composed "Fontainebleau" upon visiting the palace.
- The artist Madonna refers in her song "Secret Garden" from the album Erotica to it being located somewhere in Fontainebleau.
- The guitarist and composer Neil Young wrote a song about the palace on the album Long May You Run.
- The music video for "Born to Die" by American singer Lana Del Rey was filmed throughout the Palace of Fontainebleau in November, 2011.[1]
- La Blogothèque filmed Anna Calvi performing her song "Love of My Life" at Palace of Fontainebleau. [2]

Palace or Chateau?
I have made some edits to the lead paragraph concerning the name of the Chateau. As Napoleon himself wrote, it was "palatial" but never was officially called a Palace. it was not the permanent residence of the King and seat of government of France. The real Palace was in Paris, then in Versailles. Several French Kings never even visited the Chateau. The French Wikipedia names it correctly as a chateau rather than a palace. I think this article should do the same. Cordially, SiefkinDR (talk) 17:04, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
Seriously?
Is this article really suggesting that 'fon-tin-bloo' is an acceptable pronunciation? It isn't. Knucmo2 (talk) 11:13, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
