History section?

This article could use a brief section on the history of paintball, if anyone has nothing to do... Psychlohexane (talk) 02:29, 10 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Especially since the Woodsball article links to the nonexistent history section. :) 73.186.162.89 (talk) 21:59, 26 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Undue significance of unlawful use

The entire section reads as if written by an airsoft-fan troll. Including the facts is ok, but let's do somethng about the intro paragraph.

Many professional law-enforcement and military groups around the world actively use airsoft to simulate combat situations in the training of their personnel. *ORLY? citation? why is it even mentioned here?* Conversely *conversely??! "Airsoft goood Paintball baaaad!"* unlawful groups and terrorist have been accused of using paintball for similar tactical training purposes. *And that is an inherent trait of paintball presentable in such a general manner?!*

It just reads like a fearmongering news article. Leaves a bad taste, and definitely not encyclopedic. Instead, I propose getting rid of the first sentence, and replacing the intro with: "In the past, unlawful groups and terrorist have been accused of using paintball for tactical training purposes in connection with the following incidents:" 82.131.194.26 (talk) 13:21, 7 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

ohwell I couldn't stand the thing and made the change, revert if you don't like. :) 82.131.194.26 (talk) 13:24, 7 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

"The use of unstable CO2"

Since when is carbon dioxide unstable? It's probably one the most STABLE gaseous carbon compounds at STP! There is no end to this pseudo-ecological garbage... 92.184.145.112 (talk) 09:25, 31 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
