The equation for the conversion from ammonia to nitric oxide should be: 4NH₃ + 5O₂ <===> 4NO + 6H₂O

Not match with my book

Overall reaction when carried out in the air

As a beginner in chemistry, I'm confused about one thing. If everything is divided by 2 at the end, Why does $4\mathrm{N}\mathrm{H}{\phantom{A}}_3(\mathrm{g})$ and $4\mathrm{H}\mathrm{N}\mathrm{O}{\phantom{A}}_3(\mathrm{a}\mathrm{q})$ become $\mathrm{N}\mathrm{H}{\phantom{A}}_3(\mathrm{g})$ and $\mathrm{H}\mathrm{N}\mathrm{O}{\phantom{A}}_3(\mathrm{a}\mathrm{q})$ respectively, as if the equation was divided by 4 instead?
