Multiple awards
Template:Yo - Just confirming; is "cartouche" the correct word? Or would "cartouche (design)" be more accurate? I'm sure there are other words to describe specific components of medals, and similar items such as metal law enforcement badges, where a banner or other such adornments would designate an ID number or division, etc.
Also, your edit now references the medal itself, whereas the previous version seemed to refer to the ribbon, or "basic badge", at least, that's what was being discussed on the other page. And there you did state that multiple awardees have subsequent, numbered medals. But, what about the ribbons? Do they just wear multiple copies of the same ribbon? You say there is no numeral devices, is there anything that distinguishes additional awards? Thanks - wolf 22:04, 27 October 2018 (UTC)
- Good catch on cartouche, I missed the disambiguator. I referenced the medal because it is in fact only on the medal as additional awards differ in this way (see [1]). The cartouche for repeated awards can even be seen on Natalya Meklin's chest in this postwar photo in civvies, but note the identical ribbons. Kges1901 (talk) 00:53, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
