Differences SGE vs N1

The sentence "Sun also sells a commercial product based on SGE, also known as N1 Grid Engine (N1GE)." contains one "also" too many, I think, and I don't really understand the meaning.

The page linked to in the external links section

does not contain the word N1.

So: How does N1 relate to SGE? A little investigation on Sun's web site. I went to http://www.sun.com/software/gridware/ and searched for N1. Up came a link called "Sun N1 Grid Engine 6.1", which led back to the same page. It seems that they have stopped using the name N1, at least for this product. They have something called "Sun N1 Service Provisioning System".

I have Sun Grid Engine 6.1 update 3. When I start the tool qmon, it brings up a splash screen with the name "N1 (tm) Grid Engine". --HelgeStenstrom (talk) 08:25, 6 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sun N1 Grid Engine is the former name of Sun Grid Engine. "Sun Grid Engine Enterprise Edition 5.3" transitioned to "Sun N1 Grid Engine 6.0" transitioned to "Sun Grid Engine 6.1". The current version (at the time of this post) is Sun Grid Engine 6.2 update 2. Grid Engine is the name of the open source project and follows the same version numbering as Sun Grid Engine, e.g. Grid Engine 6.2u2 is the same source base as Sun Grid Engine 6.2u2. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.18.43.225 (talk) 15:51, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

If I understand it correctly, Sun Grid Engine was transitioned to Oracle Grid Engine and it is not open source any more. Grid Engine, however, is an open source fork of Sun Grid Engine. Is that correct? If yes, we could simplify the introductory paragraph quite a bit and remove the ference to N1GE. --Bimberbube (talk) 14:41, 10 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Obsolete links

The links to version 6.0 and 6.1 documentation collections don't work anymore. Anyone got better links? --HelgeStenstrom (talk) 13:34, 2 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Alternatively, you can add Template:Tlx to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
