Talk:Opera metal
Since when is Bohemian Rhapsody, or for that matter Queen in general, metal?
- good question.... Spearhead 17:11, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
The problem with this is that it talks about what Symphonic Metal is (in very unclear terms, already on the Symphonic Metal page. Then it proceeds to try to claim that its Gothic Metal which it isnt. This albums is confusing, and is a bad algemy of Symphonic Metal, and Gothic Metal. As such, it should be redirected to symphonic metal, and any information pertaining to that genre should be merged into that article. Alas, the same with Gothic Metal should be done. I disagree totally with many elements of this article; indeed Queen has nothing to do with metal, let alone opera metal. I never heard Celtic Frost referred to as a "prog-metal" band, and their influence on opera metal (unlike black and death metal) is very limited. Many bands are missing (Aina, Leave's Eyes...). I agree that this article should be modified and merged with the symphonic metal article. --IronChris 02:48, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
