Taxonomy

The consensus among the recommended authorities is that the family Octopodidae sensu lato is now split into the Eledonidae, Octopodidae sensu stricto, Enteroctopodidae, Amphitretidae, Bathypolypodidae and Megaleledonidae see Tree of Life[1], see also World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS)[2]. I intend to edit the Octopodidae articles to follow this taxonomy. The other sources listed on Wikipedia:WikiProject Cephalopods do not seem to be available. Not unexpectedly Molluscabase [3] agrees with WoRMS. Quetzal1964 (talk) 06:57, 31 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
