I am moving this here for now for the record as the measurements are not sourced. Feel free to add these bits into the article's body if you can find the WP:RS for them. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 14:42, 18 November 2022 (UTC)

Degree of authority
Some readers out there may be wondering why we aren't including "finds of the century" in the "Human History" part of this article. Admittingly, I have watched every episode of the Curse of Oak Island since it started. That being said I did some research online to determine a degree of authority... as in published works and mainstream acceptance. The only people with credentials I could find is Dr. Ian Spooner of Acadia University and possibly Gordon Fader, a marine geologist [1]. Author Randall Sullivan who wrote "The Curse of Oak Island" (2019) also has notability, but he is not a historian.
For starters, none of the named archaeologists on the show: Helen Sheldon (archaeologist), Jamie Kouba, Miriam Amirault, Emma Culligan, or Laird Niven have articles here on Wikipedia. Now this doesn't mean that they aren't notable, but with the show being on air for over 10 years now it does come into question. This relates to article improvement as it would be great to expand the human history section. Unfortunately, it looks like we just don't have the published academia to do so.
