I don't like where this article is going

This wasn't supposed to sound like a informational brochure... it's beginning to look quite POV. — oo64eva (Alex) (U | T | C) @ 06:04, Jun 8, 2005 (UTC)

Agreed. This article does sound more like a brochure. KyuuA4 18:19, 14 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Niles East?

This article makes mention of Niles East HS, and lists a current enrollement for the school. Niles East closed permanently in 1980. http://www.illinoishsglorydays.com/id198.html Dschultz 16:13, 18 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

What Not to Include

Greetings editors (and especially those from or formerly from Niles West):

Let me give you some suggestions regarding improvement of this article.

Before you revert any deletions, or add any information, please consult WikiSchools Project: What Not To Include. This section is part of the WikiSchool Project page and highlights what does not belong in encyclopedia articles about schools. Such as:

1. Points of short term interest (athletic schedules, dates for the musical, the current student council president, the current football coach, etc)
2. Staff and students who are not notable for something else other than being a teacher or student. If a teacher wins a state/national prize, list them. If a student wins a national award, list them. If a tennis player was runner up in the sectional, don't list them. If you're favorite teacher was sadly let go, don't list that.
3. As for alumnae, they should only be listed if they are notable. The best rule of thumb to use is: they are notable if they have (or are eligible to have) an article here on wikipedia. Bart Conner is certainly notable. Having an alum at the Olympic Training site, while a great accomplishment, does not in-and-of-itself merit notability as defined by Wikipedia.
4. Remember, this is not the school website. This is an encyclopedia article. Please do not take things personally if an edit you made gets reverted. Try and talk it through, if you really think it belongs, bu be sure you are familiar with the policies of the site before you do.
5. Finally: CITE. The best way to make sure that your edit will not be removed is to provide a reference from a neutral, third party, reliable source. Verifiability is extremely important here.

Best of luck to all editors! LonelyBeacon (talk) 00:17, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

April 2009 Assessment

I have just pushed this article's assessment up from stub to start. Not sure where the importance belongs? LonelyBeacon (talk) 00:06, 14 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Changed Park View Link

I changed the Park View link in the feeder school section because it pointed to a Park View Middle School in RI. snachodog (talk) 22:49, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Good catch, I just made it match wikipedian style for ambiguous names (i.e., '(city, state)') --Jj110888 (talk) 00:05, 12 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
