So biased
This page has a clear pro-conservative bend and really downplays the more problematic aspects of Rockefeller. For example, the section on the Attica riot completely glosses over the bad faith negotiations Rockefeller engaged in, the culpability he had in the mass killings to retake the prison, and efforts to cover up the actions of law enforcement and shift blame to the Attica prisoners. Minor edit suggestion
The section on the 1976 election should mention that Robert Dole was nominated for vice president instead of Rockefeller. (Protected) 75.166.110.1 (talk) 14:03, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
It's Robert Dole. And the basic fact is Ford kicked Rockefeller off the ticket because he was an electoral liability. In other words, most people didn't like him.
Any information on his religious belief?
The Rockefeller family has traditionally been associated with affiliation to Northern Baptism, with both John D. Rockefeller and John D. Rockefeller Jr. engaging in devotion and philanthropy. But I can't seem to find anything on Nelson's beliefs, to the extent he had one aside from occasional references to god in political speeches. The Wikipedia page "Religious affiliations of vice presidents of the United States" lists him as a Baptist, but there are no sources listed for it. 2603:8001:6802:C56D:C1F9:EC0C:235B:6B89 (talk) 06:10, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
He was kicked off the 76 ticket by Ford.
