Naveen Jindal should not be confused with Naveen Kumar Jindal; the latter is associated with the BJP and the 2022 BJP Muhammad remarks controversy[1].VR talk 01:36, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
NPOV Concerns
I added a NPOV banner to the top of the page due to concerns over this page being biased towards portraying Naveen Jindal in an excessively positive light, considering such phrasings as:
- Naveen Jindal is known as the man who won the right to display the National Flag on all days of the year for all Indians. (under heading "Right to display the National flag")
- JGU is one of the few universities in Asia that maintains a 1:9 faculty-student ratio and appoints faculty members from India and different parts of the world with outstanding academic qualifications and experience. (under heading "Philanthropy")
- His selfless act of handling the situation directly and sending Oxygen was lauded by all. Chief Ministers of several Indian states took to Twitter and thanked Jindal for his timely intervention that potentially saved thousands of lives. (under heading "Philanthropy")
Please let me know if my concerns here are unfounded or if I've done anything wrong in this process of bringing the matter up! Thanks. Nerdy314 (talk) 03:57, 8 December 2022 (UTC)

Proposed Revisions to Address NPOV and Update Content – March 2025
Hello editors,
I’ve reviewed the current concerns raised on this Talk Page regarding the promotional tone and lack of neutrality in certain parts of the article, especially under “Right to Display the National Flag,” “Philanthropy,” and “Education.”
I am proposing the following changes to bring the article more in line with Wikipedia’s NPOV policy and improve verifiability. These are based entirely on reliable third-party sources and public records.
Examples of proposed changes:
1. Original: “Naveen Jindal is known as the man who won the right to display the National Flag...”
Suggested: “In 2004, following a Supreme Court ruling in response to Naveen Jindal’s petition, Indian citizens were granted the right to display the national flag on all days.” Source: [Global Freedom of Expression, Columbia Univeristy]
2. Original: “JGU is one of the few universities in Asia that maintains a 1:9 faculty-student ratio...”
Suggested: “According to university data, JGU maintains a faculty-student ratio of 1:9 and recruits international faculty members.” Source: Times Higher Education
3. Original: “His selfless act of sending oxygen was lauded by all...”
Suggested: “During the COVID-19 crisis, Jindal Steel & Power facilitated the supply of oxygen to several states, which was acknowledged by public officials.” Source: Business Standard
I’m happy to provide section-by-section markup for community review before editing. Please share your feedback.

- Request to Remove POV and Undisclosed Paid Editing Tags
- Hi editors, I’ve updated the article significantly to address concerns raised in previous discussions, including rewriting key sections (Politics, Sports, Philanthropy, Lead, etc.) for neutrality and clarity, and adding reliable third-party citations. I have no paid connection to the subject. If there are no objections, I plan to remove the Script error: No such module "Unsubst". and Template:Undisclosed paid tags after a few days.
- Please let me know if you have any concerns or feedback.

- Hi editors,
- Following up on the earlier cleanup efforts: I have restructured the article for neutrality, rewritten the previously flagged sections (including Politics, Philanthropy, Sports, and Lead), and added citations from reliable third-party sources. Promotional tone and COI concerns have been fully addressed.
- No objections have been raised in the past 3 days. If there are no further concerns, I am proceeding with the removal of the Script error: No such module "Unsubst". and Template:Undisclosed paid tags from the top of the article.
- Thanks,
