I wondered if the rune's reconstructed name should be "naudhiz", rather than "naudiz", considering that that is the sound in Gothic and Norse...

It is quite possible, but both Gothic and Old Norse have a lot of instances where Proto-Germanic d has become ð/þ, so that's not evidence that the Proto-Germanic form should have a þ.
