legend

I correct the legend of ranmaru mori Koei's pic. Ranmaru is a man not a woman. Mizunoryu 大熊猫❤小熊猫 (talk) 15:05, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

contreversial statement

"It is widely understood that Oda and Mori had a sexual relationship that was commonly found in those times"

I think it should be precised that there are no contempary sources that can be used to prove this. I mean, this fact was especially stressed by the nanshoku litterature of the Edo period (the sources mentioned are from the beginning of the XVIIIe century whereas Ranmaru died in 1582) that praised the almost feminine beauty and the fidelity of Ranmaru. Nanshoku is a bit like courtly love in medieval Europe : though highly praised in litterature, it is very difficult to know to what extent it was practiced in reality (I can think of only three written sources about this : a statement made by a a japanese author in 1482, one made by a jesuit priest in the late XVIe century, and a letter from Takeda Shingen to his lover). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.187.34.16 (talk) 13:46, 6 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

The version you keep removing at least has a reference, although it needs a better one. Your version has no references. Unless you have a reference for the statements you are making, you should not continue reverting this. Gavia immer (talk) 02:33, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well just like I said, the reference is about the edo period (about one century and half after the death of Nobunaga and Ranmaru). I just wanted to say that therefore this should be mentionned in the article. I find the expression "It is widely understood that" should be replaced by something more precise. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.187.68.86 (talk) 05:46, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

What about this new change ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.187.68.86 (talk) 05:48, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

That looks fine to me. Gavia immer (talk) 12:52, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
