I remember the common description of the Forum's location as "Saint Catherine and Atwater" but can't think of a good way to work that in to the existing stub that wouldn't sound pointlessly redundant. 18.26.0.18 04:25, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)

This article needs an expansion. The Montreal Forum is such an important landmark in Quebec and Canadian history that it needs to be discussed more. The Beatles came here during the 60's and Mohammad Ali fought here as well. How about the Howie Morenz incident or the Rocket Richard riots of 1955? The Montreal Forum served as focal point for much of Montreal's history. And maybe a little more about the last game? I invite a hockey expert to come on here and revamp this entry for it badly needs it. Hanes3777

No glass behind home bench

Hey, can anyone find a citation to prove that there was no glass behind the home bench of the Canadiens at the Forum? As I imagine you know, it was completed gutted on the inside, and the facade is different. Nonetheless, for the infobox, since the article is about the arena, I think a photo of the building from that period would be appropriate (the photo of its current state would be better placed in the "After hockey" section). isaacl (talk) 23:17, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Rink Location During Reconstruction and Floor Plan

Hello,

I've been trying to find out something for a while, and that is whether the location of the ground floor today is where the skating rink was prior.

The building was entirely gutted during its reconstruction. Now it seems that the distance between the floor and ceiling seems lesser than how it seems in photos prior to its reconstruction. Meanwhile, there is a huge "cavity"-like structure right below the ground level that hosts the Cineplex's VIP lounge. Naturally, it would be understandable to conclude the ground floor was constructed above where the rink was, though I wanted to know if there was any source that presents this as fact. As well, whether any groundwork was done in its reconstruction that dug into the ground.

Since living right beside it and watching Queen Rocks Montreal, I've been trying to picture exactly where everything was when the Forum was used as a conference center. However, this is difficult when it seems that nothing on the inside is the same as before.
