Mercury & discovery
"Mira was discovered (or at least noted as special for the first time) after a series of observations by the astronomer David Fabricius beginning on August 3, 1596. Observing the planet Mercury, he needed a reference star for comparing positions and picked a previously unremarked third-magnitude star nearby."

"helium shell" should be "helium core"?
Not my area of expertise, but the clause "fusion of hydrogen continued along a shell surrounding the inert helium shell" strikes me as incorrect; shouldn't that be "inert helium core"? Peter Delmonte (talk) 01:02, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

- Question Οοβεττττμεντττσααβ, are you advocating for Mira to become a redirect to this page or do you want Template:-r to be moved to this base name?
