Can someone please add more information about RPM's (re punched mint marks)? Thanks, Spacetimecont 05:03, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Merging these two articles seems a good idea. Rosser (talk) 12:16, 27 March 2008 (UTC) I have a nickel that looks like a sew, just lines! Perfect cuts, no way anyone can forged this coin.
Wavy steps
The Wavy step article is orphaned and could use linking from here, but it's not a terrible clear article, and not my area. If anyone could take a look, it'd be appreciated. --McGeddon (talk) 10:41, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Definition of "Gas Oxide"
I see "Gas Oxide" used quite extensible describing lamination, however, I do not see a proper definition or reference to it.
Proper sentence should be:
"Lamination flaws occur primarily when foreign materials or gases become trapped within the planchet."
I am open for an explanation or I moved that the sentence be corrected.
Also add:
"This error is especially common to the modern US Cent having a zinc metal base plated with a thin sheeting of copper where gases gets trapped between the two layers." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jmgallego (talk • contribs) 23:30, 2 February 2014 (UTC)
