Call Me by Your Name affiliation

Does Call Me by Your Name truly qualify as the film of Merchant Ivory Productions, and should its awards be placed among the Merchants' filmography? For my view, the only connection between them is James Ivory's screenplay as well as his producer credit, which is not even recognized by award bodies.
