Did You Know Hook

Wiki is way too hard to use. However, here is a great hook for the article:

Did You Know that the element mendelevium is usually synthesized by bombarding einsteinium with alpha particles?

Really, it's too rich.

This was run as a DYK on 17 September 2014, when the hook was "Did you know ... that the discoverers of mendelevium had to seek the permission of the United States government to propose it be named after Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev, father of the periodic table?"
