Hojjat ol-Eslam

Could somebody link to some explanation of the title "Hojjat ol-Eslam"? I guess it's the title of a cleric in Shia Islam. --GunnarRene 01:08, 20 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I don't know the exact details, but it's a cleric title higher than a simply cleric but less that Ayatollah and Grand Ayatollah. roozbeh 01:14, Jun 20, 2005 (UTC)

meeting with Bush

In 'Profits of War', Ari Ben-Menashe said that Karubi (sic) was the man who met George Bush Snr. at the infamous Paris Hotel meeting. In this he recalls Karroubi speaking French and English. If it could be verified that he speaks these languages then the Ben-Menashe account could be taken seriously.

Does anyone know if he speaks European languages?
