Template:WikiProject banner shell aehm ... somehow this got into "copyrighted", even if Free_On-line_Dictionary_of_Computing/Status lists it as allowed to copy.

Recovery not replacement?

I'm a bit wary about the last sentence in the first section.. Doesn't replacement prevent recovery? If an element of a system is replaced, then the element itself doesn't recover, but the system does.

Adding link to disambiguation page. There are many mutually exclusive but related definitions of MTTR. Garykempen (talk) 15:38, 1 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Added distinct page for Mean Time To Repair

There is a clear difference between time to restore and time to repair. Time To Repair does not include downtime due to parts procurement or administrative tasks (e.g. work order paperwork) - often labeled Administrative and Logistics Down Time (ALDT), where Time To Restore typically does include ALDT.
