Categories

It is Wikipedia practice to place articles in the most appropriate categories or subcategories. Bain was a fine Methodist woman, and therefore belongs in the Category:Methodists. That category, in turn, is a subcategory of Category:Methodism. Unless there's some grand rationale, Wikipedia practice is that an article does not belong in both a subcategory and its "mother" category; that's redundant. An exception in the case of Methodism could be Francis Asbury (for example). Clearly, he belongs in "Methodists". But he was so crucial to the development of American Methodism, he should probably be listed there also. Bain did great things for Methodism, but clearly belongs in one category and not the other. To put her in "Methodists" is not to say she's "just a Methodist"...far from it! As a Methodist, I rejoice that this woman is a part of my family! But let's adhere to Wikipedia policy and practice.
