How "Jr." is displayed at beginning of article

Here is a place to discuss. Apparently, Gaye's real name contained Jr. upon death per File:Marvin gaye death cert.jpg. Stefen Towers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 06:28, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

I changed it back to the change because it may well be correct to show he was born as Jr., but I do think we need to consider how to handle the apparent fact he kept "Jr." in his name and how that should be displayed. Stefen Towers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 06:41, 11 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Marriage to Anna

So, I found records that he married Anna (under Anna Birdsong) on January 28, 1961 in Lucas, Ohio, according to a marriage certificate from the Ohio Marriage records system. I am not sure about which is accurate, if they married in Chicago or Ohio. Per the third criterion of WP:PRIMARY it can be used if it is verifiable. And according to the California Divorce Index they divorced in 1975, not 1976. I prefer using them but they’re not inaccurate, but incorrectly mistakes Anna’s age as 32, even though her birthday was around that time, the day she turned 39. Or instead, I may not prefer using them if there is no approval. Here’s a link ([1]) TheGreatestLuvofAll (talk) 17:37, 24 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
