out of stupid curiosity/ignorance, is it confirmed that they were crucified? why would 16th century Japanese think to crucify people? Binkymagnus 23:28, 2005 Jun 11 (UTC)

Crucifixion was apparently practiced in feudal Japan but in a different form where the victim was stabbed with a spear rather than being left to die. See the crucifixion article.
