Amount sold

"Over 5.4 million copies of the light novels have been published." --- pardon me if I'm mistaken, but don't you usually say "sold"? It sounds like there are 5.4 million separate published works surrounding the light novels. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.10.3.173 (talk) 09:43, 11 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

They're not exactly the same. I know there are some statistics surrounding the sale numbers of books on Oricon, but the reference cited for that statement says "Shueisha has published 5.4 million copies of the original light novels", so that's the language used in the article. Just because Shueisha had published that many doesn't mean that many were sold at the time, although considering the print runs for these books, the total sales number was probably close to that number, but again, that's not what the reference says.-- 11:47, 11 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
