Clarification

"See also: Manheim Township" deleted. Manheim is a small town that is distinctly different from the Lancaster suburb of Manheim Township. --NYCinephile 23:29, 25 June 2006 (UTC)NYCinephileReply

Namesake in Germany

The given reference (Gannett, 1905, p. 198) does not support the claim from the first paragraph that the place derives its name from Kerpen-Manheim, Germany. It only says on p. 198: "named from the town in Germany", which most probably refers to a different place by a similar name, Mannheim. Given that far more immigrants to Pennsylvania came from the Mannheim region than from the Kerpen-Manheim region, I doubt that the current claim is correct. Can anyone confirm my suspicion? 2003:C8:CF3F:5725:9C6C:386B:CC96:7DA5 (talk) 15:55, 15 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
