Move?
Shouldn't this be moved to Mt. Makushin? Volcanoes are usually known (in the "proper name" sense) as mountains, are they not? And I've never heard anyone call this Makushin volcano. Unschool (talk) 04:38, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Elevation?
An elevation of 6,680 ft is supported by the references provided but the topographic map supports much lower elevation (5905 ft).
Other sources:
- 5906 ft. Alaska Volcano Observatory (probably calculated from 1800 m.)
- 5777 ft. [[[:Template:GNIS 3]] GNIS] using the National Elevation Dataset (which is certainly an underestimate as usual)
- 5905 ft. Global Volcanism Program (probably from the topo map)
- 5905 ft. Peakbagger.com (certainly from the topo map)
- Script error: No such module "convert".: PeakList.com (who knows where it comes from)
- Script error: No such module "convert".: Bivouac.com
This is just to note this discrepancy. Other sources, especially USGS sites, support 6,680 ft. However the the National Elevation Dataset elevation, which is based on satellite data, is seldom off by 1,000 ft. –droll [chat] 03:21, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
