Mt. Whitney Ascent History

It seems to me that the two paragraphs devoted to the history of early ascents of Mt. Whitney are better left to the page on that mountain. They could easily be summarized in a couple sentences. Indeed, it's questionable what relevance they have to the history of Lone Pine itself. The movie history, for example, is much more relevant. Doug (talk) 18:08, 21 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
