High pitched sound/high frequency sound in station

I have noticed an annoying high pitched sound in the station every day since I started commuting through it in December 2005. A little Googling shows I am not the only one to have noticed it. I wondered if it was vermin control or perhaps some sort of crowd control device. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.72.169.116 (talkcontribs) 08:54, 24 May 2006

London Underground Symbol?

Is there a reason there isn't a London Underground Symbol in the right hand table? --Dave F63 (talk) 20:41, 24 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Which table are you referring to? Murgatroyd49 (talk) 09:21, 25 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Table may not be the correct term but I'm sure you knew I was referring to the Infobox panel on the right hand side of the screen. Dave F63 (talk) 10:50, 31 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
That appears to have several underground symbols so I haven't a clue what you are referring to, hence my original question. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 11:40, 31 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Dave F63: As suggested in the lead, the article has been written in two sections: one covering the mainline station (National Rail, London Overground and Elizabeth line); and one covering the older London Underground station, found at Template:Section link, complete with its own infobox and Underground symbol.
@Murgatroyd49: The "Underground" symbols on the first infobox are for London Overground and the Elizabeth line, not the Underground. The second infobox in the London Underground section has a true London Underground symbol.Script error: No such module "Check for unknown parameters". Bazza 7 (talk) 13:18, 31 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hence my confusion, I was looking for a table, not an infobox. Murgatroyd49 (talk) 13:20, 31 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Dates on section headings

This article has a nationalisation date of 1946 rather than 1948 and a privatisation date of 1991 rather than 1994. Is there a reason for this or have I been getting the dates wrong for years?--Davidvaughanwells (talk) 13:04, 6 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

It's a misleading section header. It's talking about history between 1946 and 1991, but was called "Nationalisation", which, as you say, happened between 1948 and 1994. I've changed it to "Post War". Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:36, 6 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. I'd personally prefer we followed railway dates but this will do.@Ritchie333 Davidvaughanwells (talk) 11:42, 16 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
